BrightSign Series 5 inc Multi-Output Players Supported in embed signage

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for! BrightSign’s Series 5 including the XC multi-output range is now proudly supported in embed with the latest 2.0.5 BrightSign app and minimum 9.0.120 firmware.

Implementing support for the series 5 players, in particular the XC5 range, means our customers now get to benefit from using these incredible, up to 8K, players with the features and functionality of embed.

Here’s a quick introduction to the XC5 mutli output players as introduced by BrightSign’s CEO Jeff Hastings at DSE 2022:

What are the XC2055 and XC0455 players?

These are BrightSign’s latest player offering which are described as multi-headed 8K players for elite experiences. The players bring multiple HDMI outputs powering up to 4 screens at once from a single player, elite HTML performance and stunning 8K possibilities when paired with embed.

The XC2055 offers dual (2) HDMI output, with 8K supported via HDMI 1 (HDMI 2.1a).

The XC4055 offers quad (4) dual HDMI output, with 8K supported via HDMI 1 (HDMI 2.1a).

Both players support all common screen resolutions up to max 8K (7680×4320 @60fps) as well as customisable resolutions and aspect ratios.

Bezel Compensation

A beautiful feature of using embed with a BrightSign XC2055 or XC4055 is the ability to configure the players to compensate for screen bezels. This is ideal for scenarios such as digital menu boards or video walls. All you need to know is the screen dimensions, resolutions and orientations you’re working with and then you can configure the device via embed.
